Ballard

Seattle's Ballard district, about 4.9 miles from downtown, in King County.

Ballard Commons Park is one of the parks inside Ballard, and it is where I began mapping the neighborhood's 514 acres. In my records, lots average 3,458 sq ft, smaller than 95% of Seattle neighborhoods, and townhouses make up 55.7% of the housing mix. Sidewalk coverage is an estimated 83.6%, higher than 80% of Seattle neighborhoods. I also counted 59 restaurants and 26 cafes inside its boundaries.

I pulled these from OpenStreetMap: the nearest named restaurants and cafes, starting inside the neighborhood and measured from its edge. Places marked Patio have outdoor seating, from my research for Outdoor Seating Near Me, my other site; the photos come from that research too.
